Description

Domtar has joined forces with the Student Conservation Association -- an organization dedicated to developing tomorrow's conservation leaders -- to lead community service projects at Domtar sites across the US. Together, we will restore parks and other natural resources in locations where Domtar employees live and work.


Join Domtar Personal Care and SCA on Saturday, October 3rd, to beautify and restore Cameron Park, a 400-acre nature park in the heart of the Waco community. Volunteers will work on a variety of restoration projects throughout the park to improve the health of the Bosque River.

WHEN: Saturday, October 3rd, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.


WHERE: Cameron Park, Lovers Leap Rd, Waco, TX 76708. Plenty of parking available at the Northern Gateway parking lot.


WHAT: Removing invasive plants, removing debris and trash, and clearing and maintaining hiking trails.


BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes.


PROVIDED: All volunteers will receive event t-shirts and reusable water bottles. Snacks, beverages, work gloves, tools, and lunch will be provided.
